I've ridden in the back seat of a Wrangler for over an hour multiple times. The JK is nowhere near as bad on road as everyone says. I'd even argue it's pretty good on road.

I rode in a friend’s JK Unlimited Sahara several times over the summer with the roof and doors both on and off. I thought it was pretty comfortable. It's a perfect height off the ground for visibility and handling, rides pretty well, has lots of power, doesn't handle that badly, and is tons of fun without the roof and doors.
